New-Generation 50mm Ultra-High Performance Dynamic Driver Unit:-
At the heart of the Moondrop Horizon, we have a newly-developed 50mm ultra-high-performance dynamic driver unit. The driver adopts titanium-plated PEN Dome with dual-layered liquid silica gel suspension composite diaphragm. PEN material is commonly used in flagship-level headphone drivers, it offers excellent rigidity and good damping characteristics for the dome. Titanium-plating further enhances the surface sound speed, effectively reducing split vibrations and ensuring clean output with ultra-low distortion. The liquid silica gel suspension provides higher reliability at larger amplitudes compared to standard suspensions. This large 50mm dynamic driver achieves class-leading treble extensions and outstanding resolution and clarity, all these make the Moondrop Horizon a great performer.
FEA-Optimized Dual Magnetic Structure:-
In order to produce consistent sound with ultra-low distortion and high sensitivity design, Moondrop has designed the Horizon with a strong magnetic architecture featuring FEA-optimized dual-magnetic design. It features two sets of N55 neodymium magnets, each with a natural flux exceeding 1.6T. Through advanced optimizations, Moondrop has enabled Horizon to feature 1.85T magnetic gap flux density.
Newly-Designed Large-Angle Driver Inclined Structure:-
To produce a wider soundstage and ensure complete immersion, Moondrop has designed the Horizon with large-angle driver inclined structure. The driver is placed at a calculated angle to maximize the sound performance. This design allows sound waves to travel a more complete path. This not only facilitates auricle coupling but also promotes natural diffusion at various angles. This allow the Moondrop Horizon to produce a bigger stage and a natural timbre across the frequency band.
